Synopsis
"How come Rytmus let you publish this?" Preview screenings brought very similar feedback. At first there is surprise at viewing something unexpected, followed by quoted question. The movie is neither Rytmus´ fame memorial nor his musical career flashback. Viewers are introduced into complicated relations within family - different surnames, members using adjectives step, half, biological or foster.Family that is facing racism for 37 years while struggling for love in its core. After 8 years of shooting of this documentary this “Gypsy” raised by “whitey´s” became self made ikon amongst youth and music celebrity releasing multiple platinum albums. Despite all of that he hasn´t fulfilled his “dream” yet. The dream of realizing own heritage, accepting his fathers and conciliation with closest relatives.
